Alpenfire's Cortland, this single varietal Cortland was pressed in the winter of 2019, the apples were grown organically in Hood River Oregon at Heirloom Orchards. The Cortland apple was one of the first cross bread apples in the US. A successful cross between the Ben Davis & Mcintosh created an apple with the best qualities of both varieties. Our Cortland is an easy drinking soft summer sipper reminiscent of a Vinho Verde, enjoy with Seafood, Thai food, cheese & small charcuterie plates. Best served chilled 45-55.
